Windows 8 to Work with All Current Hardware
Microsoft recently said that current PCs running Windows 7 won't have to upgrade their hardware to run Windows 8. That is, if you run Windows 7 now you should be able to run Windows 8 without buying a new computer.
The linked article is skeptical, but from the screenshots I've seen of Windows 8 -- and Microsoft's historical releases -- this wouldn't be a big surprise.
Windows 8 is scheduled to come out sometime in 2012.
