Mojave Rejecting Gmail

OS X’s Mail client isn’t working with Gmail accounts.

Multiple users are reporting that the latest version of macOS Mojave, 14.4.4, includes a bug that leaves them unable to sign into Gmail with the Mail app. As of early this morning, some people were able to get the app working by deleting stored credentials in Keychain and signing in again.

We typically recommend using Gmail.com for Gmail users: it is much more stable than Apple Mail which, in our experience, has random issues with Google’s email at least a couple of times per year.
